Lowrey and Parker Return to Pro Trucks

Janauary 2, 2006: Mark C. Lowrey and Shawn Parker will be returning to the FASCAR Pro Trucks Series in three weeks at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Florida.

Lowrey and Parker started off their 2005 season by running with the Florida-based tour at New Smyrna Speedway’s annual World Series of Asphalt Racing. After a long hiatus from the Pro Truck series, both drivers are excited to get back behind the wheel of the # 1 racetruck. “I’m really looking forward to running at USA International Speedway. It looks like challenging track, but I’m sure that I’ll be able to work with my Crew Chief Bob Pierce to get us dialing quickly”, said Lowrey

Although Mark C. Lowrey has not been in the Parker Racing Team truck since February, his 2005 season has been anything but idle. Lowrey has been working as a driving instructor at the famed Buck Baker Racing School for the past two years, while pursuing his career goal of racing in NASCAR’s top divisions. “It’s been a very busy summer. My focus has been on logging laps at some of the larger tracks throughout the southeast, and working on an ARCA and Busch ride for next season”, said Lowrey.

Team Manager Shawn Parker, who is working on his MBA at the University of South Carolina, is also excited about racing at USA international Speedway. “I’ve been busy with school and Mark’s been busy with the Buck Baker Racing School, but we haven’t forgotten about the importance of competing as a team. For me, this trip to Florida will be a welcome break from my studies, and for Mark, it will be a good opportunity for him to keep his racing skills sharp.”

The Parker Racing Team will be practicing at USA International Speedway on Thursday, January 26 and racing on Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28.

The Parker Racing Team competes in the ARTS - AllStar Race Truck division and has has established itself as one of the strongest ARTS truck racing teams in the northeast.
