New Smyrna Next Stop for Lowrey

Mark Lowrey Race Truck
November 1, 2006: After spending most of the summer turning laps at superspeedways throughout the southeast, Mark C. Lowrey will return to Florida's New Smyrna Speedway next month to finish out his season on a short track. This will be Lowrey's third trip down to Florida to run with the FASCAR Pro Truck Series, and his second time running at New Smyrna Speedway.

Lowrey and the Parker Racing Team are excited to make the trip down south again, and are looking forward to competing in the Pro Truck Series' 100 lap season finale. "New Smyrna Speedway is a great track. It's a track every driver hears about, and one I would love to win on", said Lowrey. "Every driver gets started on tracks like this. And besides, is there anything better than Saturday night under the lights? I wouldn't miss it for anything."

Lowrey has not been behind the wheel of the Parker Racing Team Pro Truck since January, but that doesn't phase him a bit. "It will be good to get back home and run the racetruck again", said Lowrey. "My team owner Shawn Parker and crew Chief Bob Pierce have been working hard to get us back up front where we're used to running, so it should be a lot of fun. I've put in a lot of laps this season and now I can't wait to be door to door with the FASCAR weekly drivers to see how I add up against the competition."

The past year has been a continuous learning experience for Lowrey, who has been behind the wheel of several different types of racecars over the past 12 months. Although it's been a lot of work, this driver is not complaining. "I finished out 2005 testing an ARCA car at Daytona, started 2006 out in a Pro Truck and then I got to test a USAC sprintcar this past summer. And now I get to wrap up this season back in the truck", says Lowrey with a smile. "I'm happy to get behind the wheel and race anything I can."

Mark C. Lowrey and the Parker Racing Team will hit the track again on Saturday, November 25 at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Please visit www.parkerracingteam.com for race results.
